I am linking to another great article this week about the HUGE increase in mortgage applications. It looks like the summer rush is coming early this year as many buyers are trying to get homes before the rates jump. With prices climbing steadily, there is a strong argument to buy now before rates jump as well.
Prices climbing = bad for buyers

Both happening at the same time = bad, bad, bad…
The good news is that Utah has one of the most healthy housing markets in the country, and it is a great time to get into the market!
If buying a home is even on your radar I do not currently recommend waiting to purchase. We need to get you a plan of attack so you can purchase before the rush gets too frantic, and definitely before rates go up and up.
